Guide to Equine Fitness and Conditioning

    Equine fitness and conditioning

This guide provides you with a basic understanding of fitness as it relates to your horse and how an individualized conditioning program tailored to your objectives can improve performance and enhance the soundness of your horse.

Fitness is an important element of equine health. Physical activity is natural for a horse that  would roam for miles each day in search of food. Horses confined to barns need, at a minimum, regular physical activity to maintain mental and physical health.

This guide focuses on essential and basic information related to fitness and conditioning that every equine owner should know for the benefit of you and your horse.  For a more in-depth understanding of fitness and conditioning, visit our Fitness and Conditioning Health Center, read one or more blogs, or visit our fitness and conditioning forum where you can discuss and learn more from other horse owners.
