We are the only website dedicated to providing equine health information and services to horse owners, worldwide. Modeled after the popular WebMD website, EquiMed goes beyond the typical equine health content provider by adding services and reference content, in addition to monthly articles that are written specifically for the web. We also feature moderated forums and blogs written by equine health experts in veterinary medicine, hoof care, nutrition, and behavior.

What are our Accepted Formats?
We accept image, html and text ads in a variety of industry-standard formats. Flash ads are not currently supported.
Materials Submission
Please send ad materials to:

- Company Name
- Product Name
- EquiMed Salesperson Contact
- Nature of Request (e.g. "update existing advertisment," "new submission")
- Contract Number for ad insertion
Materials Approval
EquiMed reserves the right to approve or disapprove advertisements for display on the EquiMed website. Advertisements that may distract or annoy potential site visitors, or advertisements that are judged by EquiMed to be inconsistent with the objectives of the EquiMed website, may be refused.
Insertion Lead Times
All advertisements are reviewed and tested prior to being displayed. Advertisements must meet technical specifications as explained below. Our general lead times are:
- 5 business days from receipt of advertisment files. This assumes that the files meet technical specifications. For first-time insertions we recommend that you provide the advertisements 10 days in advance of desired publication date.
Technical Requirements for Image Ads
We accept image advertisements in the following formats:
- GIF, Animated GIF, PNG, JPEG
Available advertisement dimensions and up-load sizes are:
- Leaderboard - 728px by 90px - 40k maximum up-load size
- Medium Rectangle - 300px by 250px - 40k maximum up-load size
- Rectangle - 180px by 150px - 40k maximum up-load size
- Wide Skyscraper - 160px by 600px - 40k maximum up-load size
Animation Restrictions:
- Animations are limited to the first 15 seconds following advertisement display
- Animation may be restarted by user click only
Navigation:
- Advertisement clicks will open the target web page in a new browser window
- Target URL specified by the advertiser - only one URL per banner advertisement
Accounting and Billing:
- Click-counts for an advertisement are recorded by EquiMed on a daily basis and are available online for advertiser review
- Click-counts do not include clicks from EquiMed staff
Technical Requirements for HTML Advertisements
We accept HTML advertisements coded in valid XHTML 1.0.
Available advertisement dimensions and up-load sizes are:
- Leaderboard - 728px by 90px - 40k maximum up-load size
- Medium Rectangle - 300px by 250px - 40k maximum up-load size
- Rectangle - 180px by 150px - 40k maximum up-load size
- Wide Skyscraper - 160px by 600px - 40k maximum up-load size

Text advertising is available to provide a clickable link to your website
Advertisement Format:
- Advertiser must provide a line of text (up to 40 characters in length) along with a target URL. EquiMed will encode this line of text as a link to the target URL
Animation Restrictions:
- No images or animation of any kind. These are Text-Only advertisements.
Navigation:
- Advertisement clicks will open the target web page in a new browser window
- Target URL specified by the advertiser - only one URL per text advertisement

- Click-counts for an advertisement are recorded by EquiMed on a daily basis and are available online for advertiser review
