During the famed charity hunter/jumper horse show held at Menlo Circus Club in Atherton, Calif., August 8-13, ComfortStall~Haygain, Partners in Horse Health, will offer complementary hay purifying at their booth, located on the polo field by the mobile unit of FarmVet, a Haygain distributor. Complementary Haygain Concierge delivery service to Menlo barns will be available throughout the show.

Haygain Hay Purifiers are scientifically proven to protect equine respiratory health by eliminating virtually all respirable dust particles and killing mold, bacteria, fungal spores and mites, while retaining the nutritional value of hay and improving its palatability.

Haygain Purifiers aid in the management of laminitic, colic-prone and post-operative horses, and help manage and prevent respiratory conditions such as Inflammatory Airway Disease (IAD) and Recurrent Airway Obstruction (RAO/COPD).

Haygain steams hay from the inside out, using its patented spike manifold system to propel steam throughout the hay, distributing it evenly for thorough purification. The manifold’s aluminum plate accumulates heat under the hay to help raise the temperature inside the steam chest and optimize its efficiency.

Its custom-engineered, thermally efficient steam chest maintains the steam volume and high temperature that ensures elimination of respirable particles, fungal spores, bacteria and mites. (www.Haygain.us)

The booth also will display the Haygain Forager slow feeder designed to regulate the rate at which horses eat forage; aid in the prevention of gastric ulcers, obesity and laminitis; and promote a healthy gut and reduce the risk of colic.

Visitors can experience in person the comfort delivered by ComfortStall, the high-performance, veterinarian-recommended padded and sealed flooring system, and SmartBricks, popular rubber safety pavers, at the ComfortStall~Haygain booth.

ComfortStall® Inc. was founded in 1999 by life-time horsewoman Joy Zamoyski Koch of Santa Rosa, Calif., a former Menlo Charity Horse Show competitor herself. The high-performance therapeutic ComfortStall flooring system was born out of Joy’s need to save her beloved horse Max from the pressure sores created by traditional rubber stall mat flooring.

Developed in collaboration with Cornell University Vet Hospital’s Surgery and Anesthesia Department, which has endorsed ComfortStall since 2003, more than 5,500 farm and vet clinics installations of ComfortStall followed. ComfortStall Inc. also distributes SmartBricks™ Rubber Safety Pavers, with over 8.5 million sq. ft. installed in equine facilities worldwide. (www.ComfortStall.com).

Responding to ComfortStall’s recent acquisition by Haygain, Koch commented, “I look forward with great optimism to this opportunity to expand the reach of well-engineered, scientifically-researched and tested products that contribute to healthier horses, healthier stables and a healthier bottom line.”

Joy Zamoyski Koch continues as CEO of ComfortStall Inc., where she will expand the distribution of ComfortStall products to Haygain’s established worldwide markets, and takes on the new role as CEO of Haygain USA, to build the American market for Haygain hay purification and other products already popular throughout Europe.
