Beginning in May, My Horse University at Michigan State University will begin offering two online courses in the Spanish language.  In partnership with the Universidad Mayor in Chile, these courses are designed by world-renowned equine experts and offer science-based horse management strategies to horse owners and horse enthusiasts.

Upon purchasing the course, participants will have access to a self-paced course for six months. After completing the requirements of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion. Each part of the short courses will take approximately 1 to 2 hours to complete. In addition to course material, participants will have access to an informative webcast given by an expert.

The course, Evaluating Conformation: Form to Function focuses on the horse's balance, structure, muscling, quality, travel unsoundness and blemishes.

The course, Preparing and Breeding Your Mare, covers reproductive anatomy, breeding process, and nutritional requirements of the broodmare.

In partnership with MSU Department of Animal Sciences and MSU Extension, MHU brings research and knowledge from world-renowned experts to online courses and products. MHU’s courses provide a comprehensive and convenient learning experience for horse enthusiasts throughout the world.

MHU launched its first online course in 2006. Since then, it has provided nearly 1,000 courses to learners from high school and college students to adult horse enthusiasts. Those who have taken our courses highly praise their online experience.
