The great sport of Ranch Sorting has spread like wild fire across the U.S. and Ranch Sorting National Championships couldn't be more exciting.

RSNC has so much great to be excited about….to name a few items:  increase in membership, AQHA Partner Alliance, and new location for Finals. Last year during the 2011 RSNC National Finals membership was at 11,000, since then membership has grown to over 15,000 members and increases each day.  RSNC is excited about the membership growth not just in the United States, but internationally as well.

Since January 1, 2012, RSNC contestants have been able to take advantage of the opportunity to qualify and earn points in AQHA and RSNC in the All Levels and Youth Class. This alliance allows contestants to save money while qualifying for the huge payouts at the RSNC National Finals and the AQHA World Show Finals.

Last year in Ardmore, Oklahoma, at the Hardy Murphy Coliseum, RSNC had 4,093 teams participate over 6 days. This year RSNC is hosting the finals at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City with Battle in the Saddle and projecting over 5,000 teams will be in attendance.  Battle in the Saddle is owned by Oklahoma State Fair and managed by the American Quarter Horse Association.

Last year’s Battle in the Saddle was held July 5-9 in Oklahoma City and featured more than $130,000 in added money and an estimated $300,000 in purses.  For 2012, RSNC is ecstatic to be joining the exciting line up of barrel racing, cowboy mounted shooting, cutting, ranch pleasure, ranch remuda challenge, roping, versatility ranch horse competition and working cow horse.

The 6 day event for 2012 is scheduled for fun and excitement!  RSNC Finals includes a variety sorting classes, food, live entertainment, recognition, awards, prizes and fun for the whole family.  For contestants, classes will accommodate youth and beginner riders along with master competitors.  As a rider, entry fees start as low as $30.  Maximum paybacks go all the way up to 90% in some classes.

On Friday, July 6th there will be AQHA double judged/ double show special event classes. Rider and Horse can enjoy the V.I.P. Stall Service, upon request, that ensures horses are fed, watered, morning and night with a bonus of the stall cleaned every day. When contestants are not riding, there will be Meet and Greet Gathering, Tommy Hooker: Real Dancehall Music, cowboy serenading, Producer Dinner, Cowboy Poetry, Cowboy Church, and duck races.  Most importantly, RFD TV will be there to cover the entire event.

What is Ranch Sorting National Championships (RSNC)?
