Equinosis, LLC, manufacturer of the Lameness Locator®, has redesigned its website to better handle the growing number of equine practitioners who have expressed interest in knowing more about the wireless inertial sensor-based objective lameness evaluation system. "The level of market interest for this technology has been nothing short of phenomenal" says James Ruder, CEO of the company.

The new website allows veterinary practitioners to navigate easily around the site to better understand the system’s uses and benefits and will become an important portal for current users to access up to date information, back-up data, and file share reports for second opinions. Equinosis™ considered the importance of content and functionality for the equine practitioner, while adding features for the horse owning public like the ability to search for veterinarians in their area who utilize the technology.

The Lameness Locator® is an aid to the practicing equine veterinarian for evaluating lameness in horses. The system, developed at the University of Missouri’s Colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Engineering, objectively detects and quantifies body movement asymmetry in a horse using small, body-mounted inertial sensors and custom written software on a hand-held tablet PC. Equinosis™ recently introduced its Generation 2 system in March of this year. There are currently over 55 systems in use in private practices and veterinary medical colleges and universities worldwide.
