Comanchee, a 7-year-old Tennessee walking horse was discovered at Horse Haven of Tennessee by the Janco family in February 2010.  The horse was malnourished, emaciated, and his feet were in terrible condition.

Plenty of grain and quality hay, along with good hoof care, gave Comanchee a new lease on life.  Tender, loving care taught him to trust the new humans in his life.

Fast forward to 2011:  Joe, a beginning rider, enjoys his weekends riding Comanche on the trails.  Comanche has touched the hearts of the entire family, enjoys working, and has an eager-to-please attitude along with plenty of enthusiasm.

According to Candice Janco, "I hate to think what Comanche's future would have been without Horse Haven.  We're so grateful this terrific horse has joined our family."
