The American Farrier’s Association is holding its 46th annual convention March 7-10, 2017 in Arlington, Texas with four full days packed with lectures, forging competition, association meetings, shoeing and tool making demonstrations, and a vibrant MarketPlace showcasing innovative farrier products and services from around the world.
The 2017 convention theme “We’re on Fire!” not only reflects the proud heritage of farriers throughout the ages who have forged custom horseshoes from straight bars of steel, but also pays recognition to the renewed energy and growth of the AFA. New window. 
“We are so excited to be gathering in Arlington in 10 days, comments Beth Daniels, AFA Executive Director. Texas has a long and rich history with horses, as well as being recognized for great hospitality, and we can see by our pre-registration numbers that this convention is going to be an event to remember.”
Frank Schweighart, President of the host Texas Professional Farriers Association AFA chapter, agrees: “In Texas, as you well know, we boast the biggest and best of everything. And while that may or may not be true, we do have our version of everything, and we’re proud to share it with you.”
