This week British monarchy kick off The Royal Windsor Horse Show which is the largest outdoor equestrian show in the UK, with over 3,000 horses and ponies taking part in more than 250 jumping, showing, and carriage driving classes.

Queen Elizabeth was seen enjoying the days festivities Wednesday.

A passionate rider since childhood, the Queen (now 85-years-old) was seen on horseback as recent as last Sunday riding with her grandchildren.

Despite repeated calls by safety campaigners over the years for her to wear a helmet, she is still stubbornly wears her famous knotted headscarf when riding.

Her clothes are still reassuringly formal – white jodhpurs, brown riding boots and a tweed hacking jacket with gloves.
