Twenty-three classes will be held for both supported and independent riders, as well as a special division for disabled veterans. This year, thanks to donations collected at last year’s event, an inventory of show clothes ranging from youth to adult sizes will be available for exhibitors to use during the show.
This event would not be possible without our generous sponsors. Through their support, Champions of each class will receive a Champion jacket by Tioga Territory as well as a beautifully crafted Montana Silversmiths belt buckle. Reserve Champions will receive a Reserve Champion Montana Silversmiths belt buckle, and ribbons will be awarded to the top ten exhibitors in each class.
This one-of-a-kind event is something you won’t want to miss. Exhibitors and spectators alike enjoy a truly meaningful experience. Former ApHC Board President, Dena Raggio, says, “The Stars and Stripes Summer Spectacular is my favorite part of the Appaloosa Youth World and National Show. The first year we had the event was life changing for me. I have met so many wonderful people, made new friends and I look forward to helping every year. Please come out and join me in supporting these talented equestrians.”

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) was established in 1938 with a mission of honoring the heritage and promoting the future of the Appaloosa horse. The ApHC has since registered more than 700,000 Appaloosas, which are known for their distinctive color, intelligence and even temperament. True to their reputation as an extremely versatile breed, Appaloosas can be found in nearly every discipline including racing, endurance riding and serving as reliable family horses. The international breed registry is headquartered in Moscow, Idaho, the heart of the Palouse region—the Appaloosa breed’s namesake and point of origin.
