The AAEP will celebrate its diamond anniversary when the American Association of Equine Practitioners’ 60th Annual Convention and Trade Show convenes at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dec. 6-10, 2014.

The five-day event will offer incomparable opportunities for equine veterinarians to grow their knowledge, practice and career through practical and comprehensive educational sessions, daily networking and social events.

The trade show will feature the newest products and services for equine practice from more than 300 exhibitors. Within a variety of learning formats, including “In-Depth” and “How-To” sessions, the educational program will impart the latest thinking in key areas of medicine such as lameness, colic, reproduction, immunology and parasitology, dentistry, imaging and regenerative medicine.

Veterinary students, meanwhile, will reap further benefit from an expansive slate of student-centric programming designed to facilitate the transition from veterinary school to practice, including a variety of dry labs and professional development sessions.

As a convenience for students who may have finals the following week, the vast majority of student programming will be consolidated to Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7.

More than 5,000 equine veterinarians, veterinary students, technicians and exhibitors are expected to attend the convention. While in Salt Lake City, attendees will enjoy all the amenities, conveniences and breathtaking scenery of the 2002 Winter Olympics host city, which offers no shortage of big-city dining and entertainment options within and near its convention district.

Prospective attendees are encouraged to register online by Sept. 1 to save $125. To register for the meeting, view the educational program or book a hotel room, visit www.aaep.org/info/annual-convention-318.
