Ariat International, the leader in innovative Western and English footwear, apparel and accessories, has recently signed professional bull rider, Chris Shivers, a two-time PBR World Champion.
Shivers, as described as one of the “most electrifying bull riders in PBR history”, has made PBR history throughout his career. As a part of the PBR Build Ford Tough Series, Shivers has had twenty-two career wins, two of which earned the title of PBR World Champion Bull Rider in 2000 and 2003. Additionally, Shivers was the first PBR bull rider to reach the $1 million mark, the $2 million mark and the $3 million mark in just five years. He was also the first PBR bull rider to register 13 90-point rides in one season; he was the highest marked ride in PBR history (96.5 points) and the first bull rider to win three consecutive Bud Light Cup events.

Shivers recently announced that the 2012 PBR season would be his last. Shivers is now retired from bull riding, but plans to stay involved with the PBR. Recently, he has become an avid fan of mini bull riding, and has started an organization called ‘Chris Shivers Mini Bull Riding’. Chris Shivers Mini Bull Riding gives youth a chance to learn safety, technique and sportsmanship of bull riding from a world champion bull rider.
