Breyer Animal Creations® will be introducing many new and exciting horses to its collection in 2013, and is releasing a select few as a “sneak peek” in 2012!

The preview includes Four new Breyer Traditional Portrait Models: Realistic and fun for play and display, Breyer's portrait models feature equine champions and real horse heroes.

Breyer’s new additions include Traditional® portrait models, a line of Stablemates®, and a Classics® horse. These great products will available November (unless otherwise listed below) on BreyerHorses.com and at Breyer retailers everywhere.

The preview includes Four NEW Breyer Traditional Portrait Models: Realistic and fun for play and display, Breyer’s portrait models feature equine champions and real horse heroes:

•Sergeant Reckless, a fascinating Mongolian mare that became a Marine Sergeant! Named “Reckless” by the Marines fighting in the Korean War, she began her military career as a simple pack horse. At the Battle of Outpost Vegas in March 1953, Reckless carried almost five tons of ammunition over the course of a few days through “no man’s land” to the frontlines, and also carried wounded soldiers to safety! Brought back to the U.S.A., she received her final promotion to Staff Sergeant in 1959 at Camp Pendleton, in addition to many other honors including two Purple Hearts! Available December.

•Northern Dancer, who is considered to be one of the most influential Thoroughbred sires of the 20th century! He sired an incredible 147 stakes winners, and close to 75% of the world's Thoroughbreds has his bloodlines in their lineage. In 1964, this Canadian-bred superstar won the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and finished third in the Belmont Stakes. After the triple crown races, he traveled to Canada to run in Queen’s Plate, which he won by seven and a half lengths. For his achievements, he was named North America’s champion three-year-old colt, as well as the Canadian Horse of the Year! 

•Topsails Rein Maker, reined cow horse champion! “Slider” is the all time leading money earner of reined cow horses with winnings of more than $340,000 and counting. With co-owner/trainer Russell Dilday in the saddle, the pair won the NRCHA World’s Greatest Horseman title an unprecedented three times! 

•Vintage Western Pony, one of Breyer’s earliest releases, rides again! First introduced in 1950’s, this vintage style western pony features a beautiful chestnut roan spotted coat, striped hooves, and a high gloss finish. This retro model comes in a vintage style box. Available February.

Great new additions for young horse lovers and collectors:

•Stablemates Horse Crazy collection! New to Breyer’s Stablemates series, which recreates the horse world in 1:32 scale, is the Horse Crazy collection! Featuring fun colors and bright patterns, the Horse Crazy collection includes fantasy-colored Stablemates singles, a truck and trailer with true-to-life details, and an adorable pocket barn for on-the-go play!

•Classics Horse of the Year, a beautiful Morab named Mariah! Breyer’s junior collector line, Classics are 1:12 scale and feature authentic sculpting and detailing. The Morab breed was developed by crossing the Arabian and Morgan breeds. First in a collectible series, this limited edition is exclusively available in 2013!

•Classics Mobile Vet Clinic, is everything a vet needs to deliver care to their patients! With its working lights and siren, the Mobile Vet Clinic will inspire hours of imaginative play. Fun features include a pop-up exam table, roof that opens for access to the trailer area, and two horse stalls! Available December.
