INNOVATION NATION, hosted by Mo Rocca of CBS SUNDAY MORNING, is an Emmy Award-winning celebration of the inventorâs spirit, from historic scientific pioneers throughout past centuries to the forward-looking visionaries of today.
Each episode tells the dramatic stories behind the worldâs greatest inventions, and the perseverance, passion and price required to bring them to life. Featuring âwhat if it never happened,â âthe innovation by accidentâ and a strong focus on âjunior geniusesâ who are changing the face of technology, this series appeals to young viewers and their families.
Equi-Spirit balls have become the leader in horse play balls throughout the world. This Prescott ranch-based business run by married couple Lisa Ross-Williams and Kenny Williams which started from the huge play drive of an orphan foal saved from auction has shown people the value of play to their horseâs well-being.
âWe were very excited and honored when Stephanie Himango, producer of the show contacted us about featuring our large horse play balls,â Lisa states. âThe crew came out to our ranch in late May to shoot the footage; all of our horses got into the action, especially Simon, the donkey.â
Lisa and Kenny network with veterinarians worldwide, many who say that free-play and regular exercise contributes to horsesâ improved health, lower stress and longer life spans.
Lisa says, âPlaying comes natural to horses who love to run and have fun every chance they get. The Equi-Spirit balls are also used for mounted training and even Horse Soccer games.â
Equi-Spirit Toys helps support charitable organizations through donations to rescues and equine therapy programs for people disabilities, at-risk kids and adults with emotional challenges.
This segment on Innovation Nation is scheduled to air on Saturday morning, Oct 10, 2015.
