Horse Country Campground was proud to receive a prestigious “Rising Star” award as part of celebrations coordinated by Invest Ottawa in recognition of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Each year, “Rising Stars” are selected in recognition of their entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and for driving economic growth that improves the lives of all citizens.

As part of a week of events and celebrations driven by Invest Ottawa, Horse Country Campground proudly received a “Rising Star” award in recognition of entrepreneurial excellence.

"We are humbled and honoured to accept this award for our company and to participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Week activities," said Walter Willett, President of Horse Country Campground. Added Willett, "We are very grateful to Invest Ottawa for organizing these outstanding and motivating events and to be able to 'raise-the-flag' of the equine industry at such a prestigious celebration of entrepreneurial excellence."

Global Entrepreneurship Week runs from November 18-24, and is hosted in 130 countries! In Ottawa, more than 25 organizations will be running events to engage entrepreneurs of all ages and all backgrounds. Ottawa’s “Rising Stars” program is organized through Invest Ottawa, whose mission is to make Ottawa the best place in Canada to start and grow a business.
