The first ACTHA Trail Talk newsletter will be sent to ACTHA members on January 15, and upcoming editions will be delivered on the first and fifteenth of every month. Members of PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) and CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) will also receive the newsletter through strategic partnerships ACTHA has with those organizations.

Trail Talk promises to be full of pertinent information about trail riding, and horse behavior and care, with timely articles from those in the know.

ACTHA provides an enjoyable venue to showcase the wonderful attributes of trail horses, and grants them the recognition they so richly deserve. The organization also maintains a registry that is open to all breeds, and a point system that stays with each horse for its lifetime.

Plus, ACTHA sanctions six-mile trail ride "casual competitions," during which competitors perform six natural trail obstacles, and horses and riders are judged on performance. Twenty percent of ACTHA’s gross member rider income goes to equine charities and nonprofits.
