After years of absence from competing in the American Horse Publications (AHP) Annual Awards competition, the American Miniature Horse Association’s (AMHA) publication, Miniature Horse World, picked up 2 awards.
The American Miniature Horse Association’s publication, Miniature Horse World, picked up 2 awards at the AHP Annual Awards competition.

The awards presentation took place on Saturday, June 22 at the AHP’s annual seminar in Colorado Springs. The awards recognized work completed in and dated in 2012.
The AHP’s Annual Awards contest recognizes members for excellence in equine publishing. AMHA was one of 104 AHP members that entered the contest. This year, members submitted more than 750 entries. Awards were presented for first, second, third place, or honorable mention.
The editor of Miniature Horse World was proud to be presented with a Third Place Award for Feature Single Article – Circulation under 10,000 (Print): Weaning Woes by Melissa Powell which was printed in the April/May 2012 issue of Miniature Horse World.
The magazine also received an Honorable Mention for Publication Cover Page (Print); Grahams Ragtime, Photographer: Kelly Campbell; which was featured on the December 2012 issue.
