The Bureau of Land Management estimates over 40,000 mustangs roam rangelands in the 10 western states, along with another estimated 45,000 in off-range holding corrals waiting for adoption.

The Mustang Heritage Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) public, charitable, nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating successful adoptions for America’s excess mustangs and burros through a partnership with the Bureau of Land Management. MHF program areas focus on adopters, philanthropists, youth and horse training professionals.

Since 2007, MHF has placed over 5,500 American mustangs into adoptive homes through training and gentling programs, such as the Extreme Mustang Makeover (EMM) and the Trainer Incentive Program (TIP). To learn more, visit www.mustangheritagefoundation.org.

The Foundation is now asking fans, adopters, trainers and enthusiasts to join the Power of $1 Challenge by visiting www.mustangheritagefoundation.causevox.com or texting MUSTANG to 99000. Use your Power of $1 to help change the lives of America's Mustangs, one adoption at a time.
