AmerEquine, Festival of the Horse, has let its new website out of the stable and into the paddock. The user-friendly, beautiful new cyber home of AmerEquine showcases an ever-growing lineup of equine experts, world-class entertainers, dozens of sponsors, trade show exhibitors, and much more.
Premiering June 1–3, 2012, at the historic Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, AmerEquine combines “equine-educational” with top-tier concerts, equine experts, and other entertainments–all at one exposition.
The one-of-a-kind program includes high-profile clinicians, Olympic riders, and concerts by horse-friendly, popular entertainers concurrently with clinics, seminars, and commercial exhibits representing all things equine. Will Rogers Memorial Center features three arenas, several seminar facilities, and a large concert room.
Putting the “fest” in Festival of the Horse are Emmylou Harris, America’s Sweetheart of the Rodeo, herself an animal welfare activist; Riders In The Sky, “America’s Favorite Cowboys”; and Don Edwards, “America’s Favorite Cowboy Balladeer.”
Well-represented is the traditionally horse-culture-based music of bluegrass and old-time tunes by three groups who all have champion horse competitors in them: Jimmie Dale Gilmore & the Wronglers, featuring distance racing sponsor and rider, Warren Hellman; Heidi Clare & AtaGallop, featuring World Champion Ride ‘n’ Tie rider/runner, Heidi Clare; and Dry Branch Fire Squad, featuring multiple champion competitor and trainer, Ron Thomason.
All these performers have literally kept horses in the very fabric of their songs. Keep checking the website as more entertainers are added.
The educational component of AmerEquine’s Festival of the Horse will also be the best in the world. Craig Cameron will be presenting his patented Extreme Cowboy Race and other clinics.
Tim McQuay and Tom McCutcheon, two of Texas’s best, (2010 U.S. Gold Team members at the World Equestrian Games) will be on hand for clinics and demonstrations. Sylvia Zerbini, the former star of Cavalia, will be performing in person with her “star” horses. The great Becky Hart will be in the house, as will Aaron Ralston, Charles Wilhelm, and champion trick roper, Doug Smith. There will be more–lots more.
Many of the equine world’s most prestigious companies are on board as sponsors of the event. They include Ariat International, Equine Network, American Quarter Horse Association, Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet, Horse Illustrated, HorseCity.com, Horsetrader.com, Nutramax Laboratories, Inc., Nutrena, Ortho-flex Saddle Company, Platinum Performance, Saddle Up Clothing Company, Spalding Labs, Western Horseman, Wrangler, and Mountain Feather Originals. Award sponsors include Cowboy Outfitters, M.L. Leddy’s, Molly’s Custom Silver, Rodeo Drive, and Shorty’s Hattery.
