Developing skills of horsemanship

The Parelli Education Institute is dedicated to developing programs by advancing natural horsemanship educational programs and providing assistance to programs highlighting youth, therapeutic horsemanship and equine welfare.

The Institute has again partnered with sponsor, MD Barnmaster to help provide the grand prize.  The winner can choose either a six-stall MDBarnmaster barn or a $10,000 cash prize.  Other prizes include a Parelli saddle donated by Parelli Saddles, a deluxe red light kit donated by Phototonic Health and a two-week course credit toward a Parelli course at the Colorado ranch.  The cost of each ticket is $100 and a goal is to sell 800 tickets.

In addition to being eligible for prizes, ticket holders are invited to a cocktail reception with Linda and Pat Parelli to be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in Jacksonville, FL. The reception is being held to coincide with the Florida Horse and Soul Tour stop.  The winner will be selected at the event; however, the winner need not be present to win.

Since receiving its non-profit designation this last year, the Parelli Education Institute has been dedicated to developing programs in four areas.  The areas include:  Advancing natural horsemanship educational programs through courses and scholarships, and providing educational assistance to programs highlighting youth, therapeutic horsemanship and equine welfare.

Scholarship recipients are required to ‘Pay It Forward’ by making a commitment to support one of the Institutes focus areas by providing a number of service hours within three to five years of receiving their scholarship.

Additionally, PEI has partnered with Parelli Natural Horsemanship for the “Grand Educational Giveaway”.  From now until November 15, 2013, therapeutic horsemanship centers, horse welfare organizations and youth programs can complete an application for an educational award.  More than 1,000 awards are available and include CDs, DVDs and printed materials matched to the applicant’s level of expertise.  12 grand prize education collections, valued at more than $3,000 each will be awarded at the Jacksonville, Florida Tour Stop.
