Horse owners in the U.K. are being asked to share information about the management and health of their horses by taking the online National Equine Health Survey (NEHS).

Survey will cover facts about skin problems, lameness, weight issues, colic, and health issues in U.K. horses and the results will be used to to set priorities for future research, training, and education.
During the week of May 5 to 11, owners will be able to enter facts about skin problems, lameness, weight issues, colic, and other health issues. Results of the survey will be used to establish benchmarks for equine health and disease in the UK and to set priorities for future research, training, and education.
The NEHS is supported by the British Equine Veterinary Association. After its introduction in 2010 and conducted annually, the survey helps to collect information directly from horse owners about common health issues in their horses.
Those who complete the brief survey will automatically be entered to win prizes. The prizes include tickets for a family of four to Olympia, three lots of Spillers feed vouchers worth £100 each, a Northants jump, an exclusive tour of the Equine Referral Hospital at the Royal Veterinary College in London, and six pairs of Ariat Mudbuster boots.
