The new site launched on March 3, 2015, at www.homesforhorses.org. Some of the key features include a more user-friendly member list easily searchable by state and numerous new resource pages.
An important part of the mission of The Homes for Horses Coalition is to provide resources and training at little or no cost to equine rescue professionals and advocates. From fundraising to care and re-feeding of starved horses, the new site provides a wealth of information from experts in the field.
âOne thing that is really great about our organization and our website is its collaborative nature. It is wonderful to see outstanding equine rescue and protection organizations so willing to share their best practices with others,â says Cindy Gendron, the Coordinator of The Homes for Horses Coalition. The primary focus of this national organization is supporting the growth, collaboration and professionalism of the equine rescue and sanctuary community.
In addition to an updated website, the Coalition is also unveiling a new logo with three different equine silhouettes. âWe wanted something more representative of all equines. While our name is Homes for Horses, we are equally concerned about any at-risk equine whether horse, mule, donkey, mini or draft,â said Gendron.
