Trey Young, The American Horseman, is NOW ACCEPTING horses for training! That's right, Trey has finished shooting for his HRTV show, and is now home, ready to get back to training for the public! Trey specializes in training of ranch, roping, using, and problem horses. He also accepts many 2 year olds each year. Any discipline, from start to finish, Trey can help you and your horse!

Trey, at his 3-Y Ranch, offers several different training "packages" from beginning colt starting all the way to the finished horse. Maybe your horse has developed some bad habits, or gives you problems in certain areas.

Trey feels that bad habits are simply the result of the horse not being taught properly in the beginning. His gentle yet authoritative style produces proven results each time he is with the horse. Whatever discipline you may ride; there are certain basic developmental manners that are essential for all breeds and applicable to all disciplines, especially in the groundwork of your horse. Trey's style of "pressure and release" training produces a desirable response from the horse in a relatively short period of time.

Trey's technique and philosophy in training mirrors that of the "natural horsemanship" style of training widely used today. While many trainers are indeed successful in this style, Trey seems to excel in it. His passion for the horse and rider is so evident from your first meeting with him that you know right away you have chosen the right trainer for your horse. Having worked with many other horsemen across the country, Trey's knowledge and experience are invaluable tools that contribute to the success he has so enjoyed in his relationship with the horse.
