Starting in November, fans shared their stories about why they deserved a new barn for a chance to win a new Lester Buildings barn valued at more than $30,000. Now, the finalists have been chosen and their entries placed online for readers to vote. But hurry, the deadline for voting is April 25, 2014.
The entry with the most votes will be the Grand Prize winner and receive a prize package of any Nutrena® brand feed (including equine, poultry, pet, or cattle feed brands) and a new barn from Lester Buildings!
Simply go to http://barnlifesweeps.com/ and decide which finalist has your vote:
- Sharon Atwood’s 100-year-old barn was home to horses, dogs, chickens, peacocks, ducks and cats until it burned to the ground.
- Sandy Lynch and her husband need a barn for all the abandoned equine friends they take in, especially the ones with thrush who need a dry place to help their hooves recover.
- A horse helped her overcome a childhood speech impediment, and now Sarah Merling needs a barn to start her own equine assisted therapy program so she can help others grow.
- After a tornado destroyed their barn, Heather Torbett and her husband were forced to sell off some of their livestock, and are using a converted carport for shelter and feed.
In addition to the #BarnLife Contest, readers were also invited to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win weekly prizes (a free bag of Nutrena® brand feed good toward equine, poultry, pet or cattle feed brands) or one of the top-level prizes like a 1-year USRider® Membership, a Stall Fount from Classic Equine by Richie, or 1 ton of free feed from Nutrena®.
