Rescue and adoption horses play important and sometimes unrecognized roles in many parts of the horse industry. Through the support of friend and sponsor, WeatherBeeta, this is a chance to offer recognition to those stalwarts who started out as rescue or adoption horses and have become important parts of the programs at Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA)-participating schools.
In the WeatherBeeta and IHSA contest, the top three winning horses and their stories will be honored during a ceremony at the IHSA National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA.
Enter a beloved 'schoolie' as a contestant. Provide a photo and a maximum 150 words describing this hard-working companion and what he or she means to the school's IHSA program. The top three winning horses and their stories will be honored during a ceremony at the IHSA National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA.
One horse will receive a WeatherBeeta Fleece Combo Neck Cooler (MSRP $69) and two runner-ups will each receive a WeatherBeeta Scrim Sheet (MSRP $39). All stories and pictures will be shared on the A Home for Every Horse website and through WeatherBeeta's social media channels. Winners will be chosen by WeatherBeeta staff members.
To enter, email a photo and maximum of 150 word-background to Marian Hammerschmidt at Mariah@equine.com no later than April 20, 2014.
