Originally priced at $16.9 million, Actor Dennis Quaid’s equestrian estate has dropped $3 million in price, down to $13.9 million. The Quaids are planning on moving to Quaid's home state of Texas to be nearer family.
Quaid and his wife, Kimberly, completely transformed the home in 2008, turning it into a French-style equestrian estate with the help of Hollywood interior design duo John and Krista Everage.
Quaid and his wife also spent considerable time on the exterior of the home, purchasing an adjacent lot which allowed them to add horse stables. The finished home and an interview with Quaid was featured in Architectural Digest.
Quaid’s 8,400-sq ft home has 8 bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, formal dining room, office, wine cellar, and master suite with dual baths, private balcony and fireplace.
The grounds feature a new putting green, pool and spa, horse stables, corrals and private horse riding and hiking trails. The home also has direct access to miles of trails at Will Rogers State Park. Despite the two-minute distance to Sunset Boulevard, Quaid’s home feels private and remote.
