The vision behind EquiMed - Horse Health Matters began years ago shortly after Mark purchased his first horse.and began to realize that a comprehensive website about horse health geared to the the average horse owner was no where to be found.
Yes, several sites provided information for equine professionals, but often the content was designed for DVMs, farriers, or high-end horse industry participants and was difficult to wade through for the average horse owner.
As all horse owners know, many issues related to horse health come up on a daily basis and many of them are not serious enough for a call to the local veterinarian. Here, Mark saw a niche to be filled and in 2009 began working toward providing an easily accessible source of credible and accurate information about all facets of equine health whether a disease or condition or how to catch an unruly horse.
