The book is available on Amazon, Kindle and more as a field guide to Roberts’ groundbreaking book, The Man Who Listens to Horses.

“Life Lessons from The Man Who Listens to Horses is a book that will interest readers beyond just the world of horses,” says Susan Cain, co-author. “The book helps readers focus on finding their strengths”, Cain stated. Cain noted that the book will allow readers to apply Monty’s learning lessons to their own lives.

“The book also includes contributions from noted authors, including Daniel Pink (Drive), Brene Brown (Daring Greatly), Tom Rath (How Full is Your Bucket). It focuses on the value of rebounding from failure and creating an action plan for moving forward in your own life ,” Cain commented.

“We are really excited about this book,” said MPRI  (Monty and Pat Roberts, Inc.) co-author Debbie Roberts-Loucks. “It serves as kind of a refresher to Monty’s original book, and extends the lessons in it for further exploration by the reader.

Most importantly, the new field guide contains tools that readers can download and use to leverage learning opportunities in their lives.”

The book’s co-authors paired Monty’s career-building lessons together with personal development insights. “We enjoyed teaming up for this project,” Cain commented. “We combed through Monty’s life, from his early years as a child subjected to his father’s harsh discipline to the rodeo ring, to his first meeting with the Queen of England.

Readers will follow his life’s learning curve, and create their own reflective learning journal,” Cain concluded. The field guide is available as an eBook as well as a published paper version on Amazon.

The Monty Roberts brand leads the equine training industry in the area of non-violent training approaches, and has been validated by world leaders and published in research reports.

MPRI’s trust-based learning models have been adapted outside the horsemanship world to help organizations build trust and open communication. Most recently, the brand has been associated with helping soldiers suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder to regain their confidence and trust.
