"I hate flies! My horses hate flies! No matter how good your fly management program is there is nothing more effective than a physical barrier. It goes where you go. When I saw Summer Whinny's I knew our members would want them."

Tom Scrima with ACTHA went on to explain further. "Not only are they completely form fitting, they are made from a wonderful antimicrobial yarn that keeps other nasty things off my horses legs. Pure genius. And you can leave them on for a long time, day and night then machine wash and dry. Our members are going to love them!"

Raymond Petterson, President of Sox for Horses, Inc said, "to be on the ACTHA team is something my company is looking forward to. SFH has been a longtime supporter of horse rescue organizations and we are impressed by ACTHA's reach into the horse marketplace over the past 5 years. I look forward to meeting ACHTA members and bringing affordable relief summer or winter to their horses!"

Sox for Horses are currently featured on ACTHA's website partners’ pages and soon will be featured in Email efforts, ACTHA's extremely popular Facebook page and Trail Talk...ACTHA's 55,000 weekly subscriber newsletter.

"We are very grateful to Sox for Horses Inc. for this wonderful relief for our equine friends and for their generous participation in our ACTHA Buck program," concludes Founder Carrie Scrima.

About Sox for Horses Inc.

Summer Whinnys®, the summer fly barrier socks provide equines with a non-pesticide source of leg protection from biting insects! Our equine socks are made from a high-tech, durable, wicking, and antimicrobial yarn; they are designed to stay in place for hours by using a safe level of elastic compression, in a cool compact knit that is nearly impossible for biting flies to penetrate!

The fibers of our yarn contain silver and copper ions that are naturally antimicrobial and continually inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and fungi in the socks. The silver and copper ions will not wash or leach out and the antimicrobial protection will last for the life of the socks.
