The Bit Blanket, Omega Field's "Grande," Silverquine, and Dr. Renee Tucker's book, "Where Does My Horse Hurt?" have all received the Good Horsekeeping Product Approval.

“The Bit Blanket is great to have for winter riding.  It keeps your bit nice and warm until you’re ready to ride your horse,” Cerny said.  “I was also impressed with the safety instructions that were included with the product.”

With all of the press about the importance of omegas in a horse’s diet, products like “Grande” are timely in today’s equine market.  “It is very easy to top dress grain rations with it, and horses love the taste,” Cerny added.

“Silverquine was a welcomed product for treating wounds,” Cerny said.  “I applied it for two days on a large surface scrape and that was the end of doctoring it.”

One book was also included in the website’s recent approvals.  “Dr. Tucker’s book is a great ‘how-to’ guide for figuring out where a horse hurts and when to call a professional to treat it.”  Cerny added, “It’s a must-have book for anyone who works with horses.”

Equine product manufacturers can have their products tested and featured on the Good Horsekeeping Product Approval page.  Products are tested for 30 days before being featured.

Horse related books and training DVDs are also reviewed for the website.
