Bateson Trailers, an English manufacturer of horse trailers, has recalled its Ascot trailers because of an incident when a horse fell through the floor of a two-week-old box.
Trailer company had to recall trailers after a horse narrowly escaped injury when it fell through the floor while on the road.
The trailers are top of the range models and the company had to recall them last month after a horse narrowly escaped injury during the incident which took place during March.
According to the owner of the horse, it was a "miracle" that the Foggy, the horse received only superficial wounds in the accident. Apparently, Foggy was saved from serious injuries by the thick rubber matting that wrapped itself around its leg when the horse fell through the floor of the trailer.
Since the accident, Bateson Trailers has recalled all of the defective models that had been sold and has replaced the floors.
