Common uses are for injury prevention, saddle fit, fit-to-compete exams, and monitoring recovery.

The next-generation FLIR i7 camera has increased durability, wider field of view, and improved image resolution from the older model. The FLIR i7 is a lightweight, point-and-shoot infrared-only camera, and is the top model in the FLIR i-Series.

The newly added FLIR E30 thermal imaging camera is equipped with a large LCD touch screen, manual focus, and additional measurement tools, making it a step above the FLIR i7. Also, the FLIR E30 has a built-in digital camera to simultaneously take a regular digital picture to accompany the infrared image.

Equine Applications:

All of the FLIR thermal imaging cameras are highly sensitive to variations in the temperature of a horse’s body. Common uses are for injury prevention, saddle fit, fit-to-compete exams, and monitoring recovery. When infrared scans of a horse are combined with knowledgeable analysis, it is possible to detect problems prior to outward signs occurring. Having a thermal imaging camera allows you the opportunity to take regular scans and monitor ongoing changes in your horse.

When a FLIR camera is purchased from Matrix Therapy Products it comes with an exclusive Equine Instruction Manual.
