As a leading provider of Veterinary Pharmaceuticals and Prescription Product for Pets and Horses for 16 years, Heartland is pleased to announce that as of November 9th 2011, it has earned Veterinary-Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (Vet-VIPPS) accredidation from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).

Recognized for its discounted pricing of prescription medications and veterinary supplies for dogs, cats, and horses, Heartland Veterinary Pharmacy’s new status as Vet-VIPPS Certified identifies Heartland as a fully licensed pharmacy in compliance with all applicable state boards of pharmacy statutes, and becomes one of only fifteen pharmacies nationwide to be certified.

Heartland Veterinary Pharmacy has met all Vet-VIPPS criteria in an on-site inspection of Heartland’s pharmacy as well as a rigorous review of its policies and procedures regarding patient confidentiality, prescription authentication, security and processing, quality control, and pharmacist consultations.

Dr. Biehl says “As a Veterinarian you should insist that your clients get their medications from a Vet-VIPPS accredited Pharmacy to insure proper handling of the prescription. As an animal owner you should make sure that the Pharmacy filling you prescription is Vet VIPPS certified to make sure you are getting the correct products and your prescription is being handled properly”.

In addition to Heartland Veterinary Pharmacy’s new certification they are also known for fast courteous service and have a Veterinarian on staff to answer any questions a pet or horse owner may have in regards to vaccines supplements or prescription meds.
