Trail Challenges - Open to all horse lovers

Committed to improving the health and welfare of horses nationwide, the American Competitive Trail Horse Association is permitting non-members across the nation to join any ACTHA Competitive Trail Challenge.

The well being of the horse has always been a priority to ACTHA and is the driving force behind ACTHA’s Mission. Hosting an ACTHA Competitive Trail Challenge has proven a powerful fundraising tool for many nonprofits across the nation, approximately 70% of ACTHA’s Competitive Trail Challenges are hosted by nonprofit organizations.

In addition to ride proceeds, ACTHA donates an additional $3 per rider from every Competitive Trail Challenge (CTC) to a charity selected by the Ride Host. This can be any local equine nonprofit of their choosing.

ACTHA Co-Founder Karen VanGetson states “ACTHA has a huge heart for the horse and a huge heart for charity. We want to welcome every trail rider across the nation and show them the fun and enjoyment of an ACTHA Competitive Trail Challenge. Together we can ride for a purpose, with a common goal of helping those nonprofit organizations who are in need of funding.”
