Animal Cruelty Charges for Florida Man

Sheriff's deputies unearthed a horse and dog at Defuniak Springs, Florida, after they were called by a woman who reported the animals had been missing for several days.

Travis Ryan Atlow, who is in jail on unrelated charges faces two felony animal cruelty charges after investigators say he shot and killed his brother's miniature horse and his dog.

According to arrest reports, Atlow told a family friend, who was also jailed, that he shot, killed, and buried the horse and dog using a front-end loader while he was high on drugs.

Sheriff's deputies later unearthed the horse and dog at the Defuniak Springs property after following blood and tire marks.
