Weld County Office of Emergency Management Director Rudy Rudisill will talk about critical steps horse owners should take to be ready to keep their horses and themselves safe in case of fire, disease outbreak and other dangers in a free presentation as part of the AQHA Ride Now Tour.

The Ride Now Tour, an interactive, roundup of equine experts offering advice and inspiration to horse enthusiasts of all levels, will make its Colorado debut at the area’s newest Tractor Supply Company location in Greeley on July 14 at 11 a.m. at 3015 South 23rd Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631.

Fueled by the expertise of the Equine Network, the nation’s leading publisher of horse-related content, including Practical Horseman, Horse&Rider and EQUUS, and the cutting-edge contents of Tractor Supply Company’s equine department, the evening features a very hands-on presentation about the skills, knowledge and gear people need to Ride Now.

“Tractor Supply is pleased to bring the Ride Now Tour to our new Greeley, CO store.  This tour allows us to provide a fun, interactive and informative experience for all who share our love of horses,” said Andy Willett, Regional Vice President of Tractor Supply Company.

In addition to a flood of knowledge, attendees will also have a chance to win prizes from Ride Now Tour sponsors Weaver Leather, Weatherbeeta, W.F. Young Inc., makers of Absorbine, Purina Mills, Merck and Red Brand Fencing.

Tour Ambassadors will talk about the latest in trail riding essentials, helmet safety, the hunt for the right instructor, horse nutrition, colic prevention, deworming, lameness, buying a tractor, fly control and grooming. Attendees will be able to try, touch, sniff and taste (if they want!) the latest products from the horse industry’s leading manufacturers.

Dozens of prizes will be given to participants from sponsors including Red Brand Fence, Weatherbeeta, Weaver Leather, Purina Mills, W.F. Young Inc., Merck and U.S. Rider.

The families of Valley Ag 4-H will be hosting a fundraising cookout during the event.
