On Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Base Lake on Offutt Air Force Base, Military personnel, both active and retired, along with Department of Defense civilian employees and their families are invited to attend the first-ever Operation Free Ride Rodeo, presented by Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Rodeo and Victory Riding Academy.
Victory Riding Academy, Horses4Heroes and the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation are giving something back to all those that are serving or have served their country with Operation Free Ride Rodeo Sept. 21, 2013.
“Victory Riding Academy in partnership with Horses4Heroes and the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation is very excited to give something back to all those that are serving or have served this great country with Operation Free Ride Rodeo.
This is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for the sacrifices that have been made to allow us the freedom to live our lives and do our daily activities”, says Tony Barnes, owner of Victory Riding Academy, a Horses4Heroes provider. The day will also include Omaha Mounted Patrol demonstrations, food, games and other family activities for all to enjoy.
Interested individuals are asked to register by contacting Tony Barnes at rodeo@victoryride.org by September 13, 2013. All participants wanting a horseback ride will need to sign a waiver of liability on site and minors must have parent or guardian consent. Pre-registrants will be given a $5 discount for tickets to the Justin Boots Championships Rodeo at Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Rodeo and Stock Show.
Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Rodeo & Stock Show is an annual celebration of the region’s heritage that benefits and educates families and youth.
