Briar Hill, a sustainable "working" farm and private horse riding academy, is holding 4 weeks of horse/farm camp this summer during the month of June and invites you to sign up.

Any interested person over the age of 7 thru adult can enjoy an exciting week of riding horses, as well as learning about/working with them and the other animals/birds and assisting with the daily chores and projects we have planned on the farm.

Campers are provided an opportunity to learn to ride from scratch or improve on existing skills, and will spend quite a bit of time with the horses each day, with an opportunity to ride on Lake County's Millenium trail. Campers will be responsible for getting the horses ready and putting them away as well as the care and management of the "other" animals on the farm and garden.

They will also learn how to make cheese and soap. A great opportunity for 4-H kids and others who want to get a taste/feel of what life is like living on a free range sustainable 'working' farm.

Campers are also invited to participate in the riding/farm program and other activities at the farm after camps are over, having improved their riding skills and learned how to care for and manage the animals during camp.

The camps will run as 4 individual weeks beginning June 1-5, June 8-12, June 15-19, and June 22-26 from 9-4. Early drop-off and Late Pick-up no additional fee. Regular camp fee is $250./week. Multiple week and 2nd rider discounts are offered, ask for details.
