The Power of ONE” was created to emphasize the fact that it only takes one person to have a profound impact on millions of lives—ONE by ONE. ONE gift at a time, ONE animal at a time, ONE community at a time. The one-year campaign recognizes the enormous value of every single donation and every single donor toward improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules, and the people they serve throughout the developing world.

Brooke USA’s “The Power of ONE” is designed to unite organizational friends and supporters and encourage them to take one step forward and help Brooke USA reach a $1 million goal to further its mission and attain a world where working equines are free from suffering. All monies raised through Oct. 15, 2021 will be allocated to “The Power of ONE”.

“We’d like to urge everyone to support our pledge to vulnerable equine communities across the globe and work together towards reaching that $1 million. I’m delighted to announce that, to date, The Power of ONE has already ensured commitments of $250,000 from donors and partners,” said Emily Dulin, Brooke USA’s CEO. She added that “our immediate goal is to raise an additional $100,000 before December 31, placing Brooke USA well-ahead of all expectations.”

John Nicholson, Brooke USA’s Board Chair reminded everyone that “ONE single gift can stock a vet clinic in a remote woreda of Ethiopia with supplies. ONE donation can start a donkey club for children in Kenyan schools, teaching good handling from a young age.”

With the end of the year approaching, organizations everywhere are gearing up for #GivingTuesday, the global generosity movement that unleashes “The Power of ONE” to transform communities and the world; it is a day that encourages every person to do good. This year, #GivingTuesday takes on even more meaning given the worldwide pandemic and the greater needs of the most vulnerable across the globe.
