A Chino Hills non-profit facility taking care of a large group of rescue horses is asking the public for help to avoid having to close its doors. Because of the expenses involved with a greater number of horses than expected, and a balloon mortgage payment coming due December 31, the Re Bucket Equine Rescue is seeking donations and also putting out the word that they have horses ready to be adopted.
A Chino Hills non-profit facility taking care of a large group of rescue horses is asking the public for help to avoid having to close its doors.
The Red Bucket Equine Rescue at 2885 English Rd. Chino Hills, CA has saved 109 horses that were abused, neglected and bound for slaughter. The horses have been nurtured back to good health and the number of horses being cared for has now climbed to 142.
Now, the ranch that prides itself on helping horses, needs help to, not only meet a mortgage payment that is due on December 31, but also funds for feed and veterinary care. According to Susan Peirce, founder of the rescue, they don't have the funds to meet a balloon payment due on December 31, and are struggling to keep expenses under control.
They're also hoping people adopt the horses.
Anyone wishing to donate to the organization or find more information on adopting a horse can do so at redbucketrescue.org.
