Cowboy Mounted Shooting Winners Announced

The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association TM (CMSA) held its Bishop’s Trailer Sales Winter US Championship at the Horseshoe Park in Queen Creek, Arizona with shooters competing for cash and prizes that totaled over $64,000.

Paul Chapman of Larkspur, CO was the Overall Cowboy with his total time of 96.355 over 5 stages and the Overall Cowgirl honors went to Samantha Erdmann of Cave Creek, AZ with a total time of 96.863. 

Class winners of the Ladies’ divisions included:

  • Meg Gould – L1,
  • Melissa Ambrose - L2,
  • Kaley Twyford – L3,
  • Kimberly Larsen – L4,
  • Samantha Erdmann – L5 
  • Natalie Johnson – L6. 

Men’s division winners were:

  • Derek Marshall – M1,
  • Charl Duvenage – M2,
  • Alan Firetto – M3,
  • Bobby Chevarria – M4,
  • Tom Bamford – M5
  • Paul Chapman – M6.

Senior Class winners for the ladies:

  • Kathy Kentera – SL1,
  • Karen Smith – SL2,
  • Kat Hoffsetz – SL3,
  • Cindy Crandall – SL4,
  • Diana Olson – SL5. 

Men’s winners were:

  • Ed Graham – SM1,
  • Dan Perusek – SM2,
  • David Peters – SM3,
  • Skip Neuman – SM4,
  • Nick Kay – SM5
  • Tony Romano – SM6.

Taylor’s & Co. Rifle Class winner was current World Champion Cowboy Chad Little and Cimarron Shotgun Class winner was Dan Kelley.  Cimarron Eliminator winner was Biven Chapman in the Ladies Limited and Dave Bullock in the Men’s Limited class.  Jessie Kuka seized the Ladies Open Eliminator division and Dan Kelley captured the Men’s Open Eliminator.

AQHA titles were claimed by Von Brady in the Amateur Division, Chad Little in the Open Division, and Skip Neuman in the Select Amateur.

APHA winners included Mark Zueger in the Amateur, and Paul Chapman in the Open division.
