On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 1:00pm, Cornell University veterinarian and equine welfare specialist Lindsay Goodale will host a virtual event to help horse owners and caregivers gain a better understanding of how horses’ perceptive and cognitive abilities, along with their biology, affect the relationship between humans and horses.
In this webcast, Cornell University veterinarian and equine welfare specialist Lindsay Goodale will take you into the mind — and body — of a horse to explore the interrelationship among animal cognition, biology, and welfare.
Using horses as a case study, Dr. Goodale will explain how the study of animals’ perceptive and cognitive abilities, along with their biology, enable us to better understand how they experience their world — providing vital knowledge for improving animal welfare.
