Equine Guelph Offering Equine Emergency and Large Animal Rescue Courses

Equine Guelph is hosting an Equine Emergency Preparedness and large animal rescue training on September 18, 2014. The University of Guelph Cost: $125 CDN + hst (includes lunch.) The course covers basic horse behavior, hazards on your property, emergency preparedness, fire prevention and trailer safety.

Learning how to care for horses during emergencies

Horse owners and emergency responders are invited to two workshops focusing on equine emergencies and large animal rescue training to be presented during September by Equine Guelph.

This Equine Guelph one day equine emergency workshop for horse owners and the three day large animal rescue training course for first responders this fall is with the world renowned leader in this field: Dr. Rebecca Gimenez (TLAER Inc.)

Emergency Preparedness for Horse Owners one-day workshop: September 18:

This workshop will take place at the University of Guelph and is eligible for Equine Canada coach updating credits. Cost: $125

Large Animal Rescue for First Responders: September 19, 20 and 21:

Operational-level training will be offered for the first time in Ontario. This training will take place at the Adjala-Tosorontio Fire Department(near Orangeville) in the heart of horse country, a partner on thistraining initiative. Cost: $475 hands-on, $200 audit.
