The Arabian Horseman’s Distress Fund (AHDF) is a 501-3c non-profit organization that assists those in need within the Arabian industry and provides education and promotion of the Arabian horse.

In alignment with their mission, this project will not only serve as a great educational tool for the public, it will also be a way to raise funds to support the film project and AHDF.

Supporters may make a tax-deductible donation directly to ADHF to help bring this project to fruition, with a notation to earmark the funds for Trees Promotional project. Only funds earmarked specifically for the project will be used towards this purpose.

Says Scott Trees, “Those of us that are involved with the Arabian horse personally are well aware of the versatility, intelligence, and life changing abilities that these horses possess, but for too long the Arabian horse has been misconceived by the public in terms of what it can and cannot do."

"Often, the public sees only the show side, and there is so much more this great breed can offer. This will be a series of short stories showcasing the Arabian and all its versatility.”

He continues, “The objective of this project is to bring the entire Arabian community together to support the series with the end goal of displaying the Arabian to horse enthusiasts worldwide, as well as to people not yet familiar with the breed.

We want the storylines to be both diverse and personal. It is our intention to reach out to the Arabian horse community for their personal experiences of how the Arabian horse impacts their lives. We know our breed has been used as therapy horses for the disabled and military veterans, as endurance horses, jumping, barrel racing, showing, racing, and as the family pet (just to name a few).”

Scott will use his 40-year career photographing and filming these incredible horses with their owners to weave together these stories.

Mary Trowbridge, founder of the Arabian Horseman's Distress Fund shares, "When Scott approached us about this project, I along with the board, felt that he had a great concept to reach a potential new market with a refreshing perspective at a time when the Arabian breed needs a different sort of promotion.

We all know his reputation stands for excellence and feel with his international experience, Scott is the right person at the right time to tell a different kind of story about the Arabian horse."

An advisory board has been selected to help oversee the project and includes experts across a varying array of specialties to assist in making this project as impactful as possible. The board includes Bob Battaglia, Mary Trowbridge, Carol Maginn, Lori Davisson, Dick Adams, and Erica McCaslin.
