I'll Have Another edged out Bodemeister today to become the first horse since 2008 to win the first two legs of the Triple Crown. The horse's next challenge is the Belmont Stakes coming up in three weeks.

I'll Have Another now has a chance to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed won all three stakes in 1978.

In an exciting finish to the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes Saturday at Pimlico Race Course, 25-year-old jockey, Mario Gutierrez, urged his horse forward to beat Bodemeister, who also finished second in the Kentucky Derby.

I'll Have Another covered the 1 3/16 miles in 1:55.94.

I'll Have Another now has a chance to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed won all three stakes 34 years ago in 1978. The Belmont Stakes, the last of the Triple Crown races, is on June 9.
