The Race For Education is proud to announce LIFEFORCE as the 2012 Horse Farm Basketball presenting sponsor. The new location will be Southern Hills United Methodist Church on Harrodsburg Road.
“WinStar has been so generous in providing their facility the last few years and we are thankful for their support. The success of the tournament and the interest from more farm teams has created a need for additional parking and more spectator seating”, stated Elisabeth Jensen, President and Executive Director of The Race For Education. WinStar Farm is a host sponsor of the event and will continue to play in the tournament.
The LIFEFORCE 2012 Horse Farm Basketball Tournament, hosted by WinStar Farm will feature twelve teams competing in a double elimination tournament for the title, currently held by Legacy Bloodstock.
“Alltech is pleased to be the title sponsor in support of The Race for Education as education is one of the foundations of our company. We are also excited to partner with many of the major horse farms who have embraced our equine supplement LIFEFORCE,” added Lyndsay Jordan, LIFEFORCE Sales Manager.

The Race for Education provides educational programs and college scholarships to young people in the equine and agriculture industries with significant financial need. The majority of their students come from high need, low income backgrounds.
The Race for Education not only offers financial support for these students, but also mentoring, tutoring, and partnership support to ensure students are receiving the support and educational skills they need to be successful.
The Starting Gate, a youth outreach program, open to all at-risk youth was also established by The Race for Education in 2009 in New York and has expanded to include two Central Kentucky locations for the 2011 – 2012 school year.
Blue Grass Farms Charities offers support for individuals and their families working in the Thoroughbred industry through educational programs, as well as other critical services such as health care, substance abuse counseling, housing and utility assistance, funeral expenses, emergency food assistance, and chaplain outreach.
