One of the largest gatherings of Appaloosa horses in country will be assembled in Fort Worth, Texas June 22nd-July 4th for the 68th National Appaloosa Show and 2015 World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show.

The thirteen-day competition will feature the nation’s most talented Appaloosa horses and their riders competing for trophies, ribbons, belt buckles, prize money and National and Youth World Championship titles.

Highlights during the 68th National Appaloosa Show include, ApHC Breed of Choice Incentive classes, National Snaffle Bit Association Dual-Approved classes, and new to this year's event, the Challenged Horseman's Competition classes (CHAPS). The prestigious Texas Equine Mercantile (TEM) Sweepstakes, generously sponsored by TEM will be held on Monday, June 22nd and Tuesday, June 23rd.

The eligible sweepstakes classes are Yearling Halter, Junior & Senior Hunter Under Saddle, and Junior & Senior Western Pleasure; all exhibitors will be contending for multiple awards, including cash prizes. On Friday, June 26th the ApHC will host the Dennard’s Western Wear Egg toss, with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.

At the completion of the non-pro and open events, some of the toughest youth competitors in the country will take center stage to compete at the 2015 World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show. Disciplines including Western, English, Halter and the one-of-a-kind horse-against-horse speed events will all be showcased.

In addition to the horse and rider competition, youth can take part in several extra curricular activities while in Fort Worth. Some of the many exciting events available to attending youth are the Youth Judging Contest, the Appaloosa Youth Association Speech Contest, the Team Tournament Challenge, the Champion of Champions Competition and the Youth World Show Boot Camp, where skilled trainers donate their expertise for the day.

In addition to the exciting competition and activities offered at the show, shoppers can find all of their western lifestyle needs at the World of Color Gift Expo. The World of Color Gift Expo will have everything from custom Appaloosa apparel to home décor. Visit vendors daily from 9am to 6pm in the Brown Lupton South, John Justin Lobby and John Justin Concourse.
