It’s summertime and the riding is easy – especially if you are a member of The New England Dressage Association (NEDA). As the largest American Dressage Organization chapter in the country, a NEDA membership offers members everything from discounts on the Omnibus Prize List to a special deal on NEDA’s Fall Symposium, one of the most sought after events in their calendar.
Benefits of joining NEDA are plentiful and include automatically becoming a group member of the United States Dressage Federation.

“NEDA is very privileged to have a great group of members and fantastic events throughout the year,” said Debbie Carr-Kirk, NEDA Membership Coordinator. “It’s exciting to have our Summer Promotion because we like to give our members great deals. Our basic membership is great but for anyone who wants to provide NEDA with a higher level of support, we encourage them to become bronze, silver, business, gold or platinum contributing members.”
The benefits of joining NEDA are plentiful and include automatically becoming a group member of the United States Dressage Federation (USDF). “Signing up for a membership by August 15th also gives competitors eligibility for the NEDA Year End Awards, pending score submissions,” Carr-Kirk said. “These awards are coveted by riders in the region and year end awards offer extensive recognition and prizes.”
By signing up now for a NEDA membership, competitors also receive $10 off the Omnibus Prize List, which includes a complete listing of all the competitions in the Northeast Region as well as updated versions of dressage tests currently being used for competitions.
“While getting the Omnibus Prize List is a wonderful benefit as it is an all-in-one book great for everyone, it’s also very exciting that the Summer Membership Promotion includes a $15 discount on the NEDA Fall Symposium if you sign up by August 15th. The Fall Symposium is well known as a highlight of the year, and the 2012 symposium is no exception,” Carr-Kirk said. “The Fall Symposium will be held October 27th-28th at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine with FEI “O” Judge Stephen Clarke of Great Britain and Canadian Olympian Ashley Holzer. It’s going to be a fantastic event.”
For the non-competitive rider, NEDA Membership offers great benefits and discounts to educational events through the entire Northeast Region. Dressage rider or not, education from clinics and symposiums offered by NEDA can help any rider achieve the next level in their training. The NEDA Educational Outreach program offers NEDA members discounts on partnered clinics throughout the region. “All NEDA members receive a complimentary subscription to USDF Connection and the Horsemen’s Yankee Pedlar,” Carr-Kirk said.
