Newsdate: Fri, 31 Aug 2012 - 02:58 pm
Location: OCALA, Florida

Fox Grove Farm in Ocala, FL, is the first location on the east coast to boast an enclosed training arena filled with varying terrain and natural obstacles that can be encountered on the trail. Set on over two acres, it is a safe and fun environment to build a solid partnership with your horse while challenging the recreational or show ring rider to master natural obstacles.

Days of competition and fun will avail entries the opportunity to practice on the course at will as well as take advantage of a coaching session with training tips from Palm and Pittion-Rossillon.

While previous events on the obstacle training course have focused on education for the horse and rider, Lynn Palm and Cyril Pittion-Rossillon of Palm Partnership Training will host AQHA Trail Challenges November 4 and December 2.

The days of competition and fun will avail entries the opportunity to practice on the course at will as well as take advantage of a coaching session with training tips from Palm and Pittion-Rossillon.  In the competition beginning at noon, the horses and riders have the opportunity to put what they’ve learned into practice with several divisions and levels to accommodate all breeds and disciplines.

Fantastic prizes will be awarded in each division compliments of AQHA, Palm Partnership Training and its sponsors along with special awards for High Score, Best Turned-Out Pair and Sportmanship. Florida Quarter Horse Youth Association members, under the guidance of Kathy Boyd, will volunteer their efforts to assist in the days’ activities thus raising funds for their future endeavors.

While riding participation in all aspects of the AQHA Trail Challenge will be limited to ensure a safe and quality event, spectators are welcome to cheer on their favorite competitors or just learn what the event is all about beginning at 7 am on November 4 and December 2.

Like all Palm Partnership Training clinics, the Trail Challenge is open to all breeds of horses and levels of riders. For clinic participants in the 2 days of instruction prior to the Trail Challenges, convenient, on-site lodging, healthy meals prepared by Lynn, plush stabling and fun evening activities are included in this great weekend. Those participating in the Trail Challenge are welcome to extra amenities on a first come, first served basis.
