The Equestrian Aid Foundation (EAF), a national nonprofit that assists horsemen during a time of need, will host its third annual “Play it Forward” Poker Tournament on Sept. 15, 8 – 11 p.m., at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The tournament will be held during the High Roller Reining Classic (www.highrollerreiningclassic.com). Sponsors include FarmVet, Brumley Management Group and an anonymous donor.
The "Play It Forward" Poker Tournament offers players the opportunity to have fun and help horsemen who are suffering from catastrophic illnesses and injuries at the same time. Each player will receive $2,500 in chips for their $125 entry fee. The Texas Hold 'Em game will end at 11 pm with the chip leaders through 10th place receiving a percentage of the prize pool.
“We are excited to once again host the poker tournament as part of the High Roller Reining Classic,” said R. Scot Evans, president of the EAF. "The poker tournament is a really fun way to bring the competitive edge out of the ring and onto the poker tables. The money raised through this event will assist horsemen from all walks of life and all types of riding.”
